Nice, cozy, comfortable apartment. Great location with easy access to amenities. No major complaints.
Looking forward to living at The Brookwood
My first off campus experience, the staff has been so helpful. The location is great being a Samford student. Can't wait.
Not worth the price
The staff is rude and they keep charging for everything and are trying to get as much money as possible. They don’t enforce any of their dog policies so pitbulls roam off leash and there is always dog poop everywhere.
Look Elsewhere
I lived in Wild Forest for 2 years. The staff is less than helpful, especially in times of emergency. However, the maintenance is extremely reliable and attentive, which was a huge plus. The location is great, but honestly, it is offset by the high cost of living in cheaply made apartment units. Personally, I would look elsewhere for an apartment community in the Homewood/Vestavia Hills area.
Very Disappointed
I have lived at Wild Forest for nearly two years now. For the entire duration of my residency, my bathroom (shower drain) has reeked of cigarettes and marijuana despite the fact that I do not smoke either. Evidently, the plumbing/piping structure throughout my building (1400) is not right. It is truly disgusting and unfair to smell in my bathroom what is going on in someone else's bathroom -- especially a substance that is unhealthy for me to breathe in. Our property manager ensured that my roommate and I could move to a different unit for no added charge or fees and without changes to our lease; however, they did not follow through with that agreement. If there were not so great a financial penalty for breaking my lease early, then I would leave in a heartbeat. The only redeeming aspects of Wild Forest are the location and the maintenance staff, who are incredibly responsive and wonderful. I only wish I could say the same about the leasing office staff, who are unfriendly and do the bare minimum to do their job. I have been so deeply disappointed in my experience at Wild Forest. Not only would I not recommend it to a friend, but I would actively discourage people from living here if I could.
